Advanced open water diver: 2 days, 5 ocean dives, open water diver certification required, you will learn 5 different ways of diving. You will do a deep dive (30m/100 feet), a navigation dive with compass, and then you will choose 3 more themes dives such as: night dive, naturalist, fish identification, nitrox, D.P.V. (underwater scooter, with extra cost), search and recovery, photography, wreck. Once certified, you will be qualified to dive at 30m/100 feet. You will have improved your technique and your self confidence, all dive sites will be waiting for you. Enjoy your time underwater ! Minimum age 12 years.
Arrival day: your flight must arrive not later than 9.30 am to catch the 11.30 am ferry, and not later than 11.30 am to catch the 13.30 pm ferry.
Then en route to Rassada pier, 20 minutes ahead. Cruising from Phuket to Ko Phi Phi takes 2h00 - 2H30, same thing from Krabi.
Arrived in Ko Phi Phi, a representative from your hotel greats you, and brings you to your hotel. As Ton Sai bay village is a small place, you don't have to worry about the proximity of your hotel. In the evening, have a walk to the Ko Phi Phi diving center, it's 10 minutes away, meet the dive staff, try the equipment and plan your diving day trips.
Day 2:
Appointment 7.45 am at the Ko Phi Phi diving center.
As soon as everybody is ready, you walk to the boat 5 minutes away. The trip to Ko Phi Phi 's dive sites takes 1H00, to Phuket's dive sites it takes 1H30. During the boat trip, you will review the basic academics, what you have forgotten. Today you will do 2 or 3 dives.
The lunch is a light lunch, and the crew boils water to make coffee. Enjoy the magnificent scene of Ko Phi Phi 's high cliff.
After the first dive, lunch break with 1H30 surface interval at least. Then second dive.
13.30 -14.00 pm: back to Ko Phi Phi. Time to fill the log books and to rinse the dive gear. When you dive in Phuket 's water, back at 17H30.
Day 3:
Appointment 7.45 am at the Ko Phi Phi diving center.
During the boat trip, you will review some academics with your dive instructor. Today you will do 2 or 3 dives.
13.30 -14.00 pm (or 17.30 pm when 3 dives in Phuket): back in Ko Phi Phi.
Congratulation, you are certified !
The day before the last day: remember that divers should let between 18H00 and 24H00 before their last dive and their flight. If you dive today, your flight tomorrow should not be before 15.30 pm.
Last day : check out from your hotel between 10.00 am and 11.00 am. You will take either the morning ferry to Phuket at 9.30 am (if your flight is not before 13.30 pm), either the afternoon one at 2.30 pm (if you flight is not before 17.30 pm).
