Ko Tao: literally turtle island, what used to be a backpacker island with very few power supply has changed and grown in the right way. Still no huge hotel complex, but some comfortable beach bungalow and a very cool atmosphere. Diving in Ko Tao offers some of the biggest fish you will find in Thailand, the guest stars being the Whale shark. The black tip reef sharks and the gray reefs have quite a success though, and the shallow waters of the numerous bays are home to loads of reef fish.
Shark island: with maximum 20 meters deep, diving in shark island is accessible to beginners and experienced. A colony of sponges and alcyonaries is spreading along the rock, within the ones you will surely spot a turtle, as this is their favourite meal. Deeper below at 20 meters, with a bit of luck you will spot black tip reef sharks and giant groupers (or at least 70 cm one).
Ko Nang Yuan: nearly a part of Ko Tao, Ko Nang Yuan is a group of 3 islands linked together by a white sandy beach. Below this beautiful landscape, you can find several dive sites ideal for beginners, as the depth is maximum 15 meters. However, experienced divers will appreciate the diversity of macro life and the colourful reef fish.
South West Pinnacles: a rock formation born in 28 meters deep, and rising to 10 meters. A typical dive site the Siam Gulf. A composition of sponges, reef fish, grouper fish will delight the photographers.
Ko Wao: another easy dive site with a lot of reef life. Located in Anthong national park, you will enjoy the scenic of the landscape, and the wealth of its reef. Parrot fish, moray eels, butterfly fish are quite used to the divers and will entertain also the snorkelers.
Hin Yippon: literally japanese' reef, Hin Yippon is one of the attractions of scuba diving in Siam gulf. A large rock formation on top of another with caves and pass through, with always some shiny alcyonaries. Large coral formation are waiting for photographers in an average depth of 18 meters.
