Enjoy 30 meters visibility in 30 Celsius degrees water; swim with giant barracudas through a horde of thousand fish, meet bull sharks and explore wrecks in no more than 12 meters / 40 feet depth. Diving in Florida is extremely easy for beginners, and will delight experienced divers. As the dive boat leaves twice a day for a 2 tanks dives, you can choose to do dives 2 or 4 times a day; up to you, you are on holidays !
Key West diving holiday package : 3 to 5 stars hotel accommodation in Key West + wrecks and reef dives + dive insurance
Duration: minimum 2 nights with as many dives as you wish.
Included: 2 dives a day, drinking water, tanks, weights, mask, snorkel, dive insurance (not available for US and Canadian citizen diving in the US), dive guide for the first diving day trip.
Not included: full set dive equipment rental (25 US$ / trip / pers), dive computer (mandatory if you whish to dive unguided, 15 US$ / trip), dive guide (30 US$ / pers / trip). A dive guide is mandatory for open water divers on the SS Vandenberg. Transportation to the dive center. Flight and travel insurance not included. Airport transfer.
Although you have to be a certified diver to enjoy this package, diving in Key West is so easy that leisure beginner divers will do the same dives as experienced ones. To get to Key West, you need to land in Miami airport and to drive or being driven to the southernmost of the Florida keys; or to land in Key West airport. Surely, driving on the world famous overseas highway is something to do in one' s life, but keep in mind that parking in Key West is not easy, and turns into a nightmare in down town. Beside, most hotels will charge you for a parking place. Key West being a small island, you won't need a car down there, and for moving around, you would rather rent a scooter or an electric car.
Fun Dives Travel allows you to make the schedule by yourself: you decide which day you dive and which days you don't. You are welcome to change your schedule if you advise the dive staff 24H00 ahead, and of course, this is subject to availability.
The diving center offers 2 tanks dive in the morning and 2 tanks dive in afternoon.

Because the bottom of the sea is flat and has no more than 12 meters, a dive guide is not required. As a standard, Fun Dives Travel includes a dive guide for the first diving day trip (2 dives) only. After, it will be up to you to ask for a dive guide, it costs 30 USD / divers / 2 dives trip. Important: a dive computer is mandatory to dive unguided.
Special rules for SS Vandenberg: this wreck is on a 40 meters depth, and a dive guide is mandatory for all open Water divers, and all divers are required to sign the SS Vandenberg divers agreement. The cost of the dive guide on the SS Vandenberg is not included in the package, and comes in extra and is to pay at the dive center (30 US$ / pers / trip).
Arrival day: please note that we don't offer airport transfers in Florida, as the service is running pretty well ad the risk of scam is very low.
Check in at your hotel. The dive center and the boat are located in front of the Hyatt Key West; please note that the transfer to the dive boat is not included, and is actually not provided by the dive center. If you wish to know which hotels are the closest, feel free to contact us.
Dive schedule :
8.00 pm. Appointment at the dive center to chat with the dive staff, try your gear, learn about diving in Florida and tell your diver stories.
Take a minute to review the diving day trips schedule with the dive center manager.
8.30 pm. The boat leaves to the dive sites, the trip doesn't take more than 20 minutes. Every day, you will dive on a wreck and a reef, or on 2 reefs, depending on the current and the weather conditions. Before the dives, the dive staff makes a briefing to explain you the main attractions of the site. On board the dive boat, you will find fresh water to keep hydrated.
12.00 -12.30 pm: back to Key West. Time to fill the log books and to rinse the dive gear .
13.00 am: appointment at the dive center.
13.30 am: the boat leaves
17.30: back in Key west.
The day before the last day: remember that divers should let between 18H00 and 24H00 before their last dive and their flight. If you dive today, it has to be in the morning, and your flight tomorrow should not be before 12.30 pm.
Last day : check out from your hotel between 10.00 am and 11.00 am.
