Advanced open water diver: 3 days, 5 ocean dives, open water diver certification with 24 logged dives required, you will learn 6 different ways of diving. You will do a deep dive (30m/100 feet), a navigation dive with compass, and then you will choose 3 more themes dives such as: night dive, naturalist, fish identification, nitrox, D.P.V. (underwater scooter, with extra cost), search and recovery, photography, wreck. Once certified, you will be qualified to dive at 30m/100 feet. You will have improved your technique and your self confidence, all dive sites will be waiting for you. Enjoy your time underwater ! Minimum age 12 years.
Please note that we don't offer airport transfer (3 pers. max)s in Florida, as the service is running pretty well ad the risk of scam is very low.
Arrival day: To get to Key West, you need to land in Miami airport and to drive or being driven to the southernmost of the Florida keys; or to land in Key West airport. Surely, driving on the world famous overseas highway is something to do in one' s life, but keep in mind that parking in Key West is not easy, and turns into a nightmare in down town. Beside, most hotels will charge you for a parking place. Key West being a small island, you won't need a car down there, and for moving around, you would rather rent a scooter or an electric car.
check in at your hotel. The dive center and the boat are located in front of the Hyatt Key West; please note that the transfer to the dive boat is not included, and is actually not provided by the dive center. If you wish to know which hotels are the closest, feel free to contact us.
Day 2 to Day 4: you will do your 5 dives with the Key West dive school, all from the boat, exploring Key West dive sites. Appointment at the dive center at 8.00 am, back at 12.30 pm. On the last day, you are certified. If you wish to do a night dives, then your Advanced open water diver course will be during 2 days.
The day before the last day: remember that divers should let between 18H00 and 24H00 before their last dive and their flight. And indeed, it's a rule in the Maldives; no dives 24H00 before the flight. If you dive today, your flight tomorrow should not be before 15.30 pm.
Last day : check out from your hotel between 10.00 am and 11.00 am.
